Cheerleading reflection

In this activity I reflected action because I progressively planned, ran and organized the whole cheerleading squad, and also reflected creativity because I created the cheerleading routine.
Previously I hoped to become a better leader, planner and teacher throughout the activity, and I was successful in doing so. One of the problems that I encountered was the inability of some cheerleaders to come to practices, however I overcame this by recording steps and lessons and uploading them on youtube so they could practice on there on at home.
I learnt that videos are helpful in teaching and that certain techniques are suitable for certain people, in other words everyone has their own optimum learning techniques.
During the activity I achieved the 3rd IB CAS learning outcome “ planned and initiated activities” because during the activity I had to plan the practices and run it, making sure everyone was organized and prepared. I also achieved the fourth learning outcome “ worked collaboratively with others” because I had to work with the fellow cheerleaders to complete the whole cheerleading routine, as well as collaborate with other dancers to create the routine. The last learning outcome that I achieved was the 5th learning outcome “ shown perseverance and commitment on your activities”, because we only had a limited amount of time to create the routine, teach and practice the routine. Therefore I had to be present and mentally committed to each and every practice.
